Do you know what I am going to complain about today? I am going to complain about the Internet. That is right. What was supposed to be the next tool for salvation of mankind has simply become a wonderful place where people can exchange nonsense and feel that they have done something special in their life. Why do use the Internet today? Porn happens to be the most searched for words on the Internet. This is a clear indication of what people do online.

Many friends of mine complain and say that I should not be adopting such a negative approach. People want to search about sex. What is so bad about it if they do it online? This is what my friends say. Well, would you not bother about the number of pop up display stands in your city if this number had a direct relation with the environment? You would obviously be interested in keeping track of why so many pop up display stands were required when the environment was getting harmed in the process.

Well, the same logic applies to the web has well. Huge data centers consume valuable resources and emit a lot of heat and other harmful pollutants into the environment. The data centers are consuming electricity. For what? Just to ensure that an unknown individual in a faraway country can search for sex? Would you be interested in harming the environment just for this futile purpose?

This is where my friends tell me that I am becoming paranoid. Well, the truth is that we feel that Internet is completely free and that we can use it anyway they want. Well, that is the way we felt about rivers as well. Today, bottled water has become very popular because water has become a scarce commodity. The more we misuse the Internet, higher are the chances that we will end up facing problems because of the resources consumed.

Why on earth have we reached a situation in society where the alpha male is allowed to rule supreme over all other beings? Now this may sound like a stupid statement to say, but trust me, the more you think about it the more you will realise that it is true.

And just to set the record straight, I am not some stuck up middle aged woman fighting for women’s rights. I am a twenty five year old man! And one who is fed up of the ‘alpha male'trying to assert his dominance.

To give you an example of what I mean; I have been out on a night out countless amounts of times, minding my own business and having a laugh with my mates when all of a sudden I manage to upset an ’alpha male'by knocking into him. God forbid that anyone should knock into HIM! Instantly, you end up in a situation where you are being forced to bow down to his superiority and beg for forgiveness before he throws a punch at you. What happened to common courtesy and people accepting that sometimes these things happen.

Another example is at work. I do not hang around with the ’alpha male'group at work, and the main reason for this is that they seem to spend all of their time pretending to be macho and proving who is the biggest stud, or who can bench press the most.

Another example is at work. I do not hang around with the ’alpha male'group at work, and the main reason for this is that they seem to spend all of their time pretending to be macho and proving who is the biggest stud, or who can bench press the most. Now that is fine if that’s what they want to do, but they are not satisfied with that.

They have to prove to themselves and everyone else that not only are they more macho than each other, they are more macho than everybody else. This means group mocking of any males that are not in the group, and constant leering and comment making to any ladies that walk past them or into the office.

All of this behaviour goes unchallenged as nobody will stand up to the macho men. This really makes me feel angry. Why can’t we all just enjoy life by having a laugh and a good chat without needing to prove that we are at the top of the tree and superior to everyone else?

Why did we change the laws governing policing and human rights in such a way that people no longer have respect for the most profound authority guarding us from the worlds of crime and injustice - the police? This is a question that needs addressing finally because of the riots in London. If these have not occurred politicians would still be claiming that the laws governing the state are precise and good enough.

Yes, but they are not! A police officer cannot protect the society without being vested certain powers to do so. Police nowadays, however, cannot arrest someone on mere suspicions, cannot bring rioters on the ground in order to protect civilians, cannot fight back violence with violence simply because this is rated ’inhuman’. But is it human that people’s lives and property are endangered by crazy criminals looting the streets of one of the most famous cities in the world - London? The soft laws in England finally showed rulers a great mistake they have made - they vested too much of individual freedom in every person which is slowly turning in anarchy, behavior that would expel any religions, social and political morality out of the people on the streets.

DNA Tests do not discover criminals at birth - are not born a criminal, you become one. So to protect you from becoming such you need to be taught what is right and what is not. But how can you perceive that when while being a child daddy told you that you can do whatever you want because laws allow it, or how can you become a respectful citizen when you swear at police as if they are your enemies.

The problems of the UK now have one solution only - a radical change in the laws of the realm, a change for stricter and stronger authorities to hold the public from destroying itself through too much of individual freedom.

As the 2 month period has passed since the first air attack in Libya, it seems to be as if the international intervention has brought nothing but new problems. I still am completely for the NATO air strikes and still keep my word on it, however the situation doesn’t seem to handled properly. First of all, if the NATO doesn’t take a affirmative action on how to directly deal with Gaddafi and his forces, then all they are doing is wasting time and money.
If NATO constantly denies its direct involvement to capture or kill Gaddafi, all their doing is being a little sly. They need to come out guns blazing and put a bounty on his head. NATO needs to directly involvement themselves with air strikes that are pointing towards Gaddafi which will get the crazy man out of power permanently. All their doing now by supplying weapons and training civilians is wasting time and resources. They should instead focus on meeting leaders, help them to form governments and support and oversee the fall of monarchial rule. There is no harm in having one although if the people wish to see a full restoration of their human and democratic rights, a democracy will pave the best way for it.
Hence, if Libyans continues to shoot AK’s at heavy amour while NATO stands at the background, there will be no progress. The only thing the western powers will gain from this constant weapons offload on libyan soil is civilian causalities and further speculation on their unethical war on foreign soil.

It’s not that hard: you take something which is lethal and make it slightly safer, so that when it rains – and we’re in England, so invariably it does – people can get umbrella’s out without poking each others'eyes out. Except still, for some very obscure reason, the world still has to make do with lethal weapon umbrella’s.

Just what is going on?

As with many of my rants, this one was triggered by a dream: I was dreaming that I lived in a world where dangerous umbrella’s were outlawed, and anyone in possession of one was immediately carried off the street kicking and screaming. So you can imagine my rage and fury when I awoke to discover that, alas, I still lived amongst a NATION OF WRONGDOERS! It wasn’t the best way to wake up to the world, I can tell you.

The problem, of course, is that despite the huge number of umbrella’s out there, there rarely ever seems to be an accident. I’ve never seen one, at least. And that’s the problem right there! It’s a sad state of affairs when you need more accidents to happen so that we can have safer, better umbrella’s!

My friend Gary who owns the running shop next door says I ought to calm down, but seriously, it isn’t just me who wants to keep his eyesight, is it? No. So please, if you have a dangerous umbrella knocking about, tape up the sharp bits before you take someone’s eye out!

Why, they are the non-conversation-makers, of course. Those who will stop at nothing to make the world a mute and lonely place.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I like my privacy as much as anyone, but sometimes there is reason to talk. Such as when you arrive at the train station to find that someone has painted Lorraine Kelly’s face all massive on a train. That wasn’t what made me laugh, however. No, what made me laugh was the fact that she was both a) topless and b) …not quite as attractive as she is in real life.

So there I was laughing, but soon, as I looked left and right to see what the other passengers made of it, I realised the horrifying reality of it: nobody was laughing. Everyone else just stared blankly. I felt like I was the only laughing man left alive!

I would have understood this if the graffiti said something illegible like Ascis Gel Kayano or something, but no, it was Lorraine Kelly, enormous with her bare chest on show at the station.

Come on people, we all need to learn to let ourselves go a bit more in public! Not as much as Lorraine, maybe, but more than we are.

Many developed (and few developing) countries boast of having a higher number of mobile connections as compared to landline connections. With the advancement in technology, the usage of mobile phones are no more limited to making and receiving calls, but they are now largely used a platform for Internet surfing. Mobile phones are now used for socializing through social networking sites as well as for business purposes. As a result organizations are forced to design their websites in such a manner that they are easily accessible and visible from mobile phones. Websites which are compatible with mobile phones are naturally exposed to a wider range of customer base.

A well designed mobile website will help attract more customers. This is especially important if you are targeting customers who travel frequently and usually access the Internet through their mobile phones. Also, you will be able to target the ever growing market of mobile applications and products thereby increasing your overall business potential. It always makes sense to have properly designed products and applications so as to give the customers the feeling of stability rather than the feeling of uncertainty associated while playing with games, such as backgammon sets.

The existing technology is changing on a daily basis and hence to stay updated you need to make changes on your mobile web design on a regular basis. Remember that you should incur the extra cost in regularly updating only if you are getting a benefit out of it. If you decided to have a mobile website, ensure that you use the minimum number of images possible and do not use flash as this take long time to download and can effect the performance of your website

Question time was great last night, the debate echoed much of what has been running through my head since I heard about the raid that ended the life of Osama bin Laden. I suppose first of all, I questioned if it was him to begin with, but they assure the public that there has been a DNA test. There is a question about if the appropriate rules of engagement were followed. On Question Time, a few of the panellists referred to what happened as an execution without a trial. At the end of the day, it was the field of battle and the person who pulled the trigger we will never be known. I don’t know the inner workings of the Central Intelligence Office, I do know, however, that there are probably a lot of people who had a lot of interest in never letting Osama speak publicly. This is a man who had a relationship with the United States and received extensive training. There are enough conspiracy theories that the Global oil industry either allowed or assisted terrorism to flourish as a way of both controlling oil prices and oil production, the September 11th attacks creating a justification for a decade of neo colonial wars in the Middle East that were able to maintain the power of highly oppressive regimes across the region. Obama not making a big deal out of his death is very politically astute, he doesn’t want to risk a back lash that will endanger the blossoming democracy movement..

Ever since the hype-machine behind Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch started, I’ve been sticking to my guns and saying “It’s going to be absolutely terrible.” I could have just gone with “terrible” or even just “bad” but having seen what he did with 300, which was, in my opinion, a turgid waste of money, I just had a hunch – a very strong and completely justified hunch, I might add – that this next film would be nonsensical rubbish. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the idea behind the film. The concept seemed like a good one, and it seemed that with the amount of money being thrown at it, it couldn’t not be great. But alas today is the day that I look on Rotten Tomatoes to see what the critics made of the première. And guess what? It got panned.

Of course, you could say that it’s pure fantasy. That the idea of a load of young women struggling to escape a mental asylum through carnage and positive action will prove empowering to women for generations to come. Or you could just say this: Sucker Punch is probably – and I say this because I haven’t actually seen it yet – just what happens when you give a moderately successful director too much money and license to do what he pleases. Yes, you can chuck a lot of mud at a wall and eventually it will stick, but wouldn’t it have been better to get the mixture right first by taking out all the tripe that makes it fall apart?

Maybe it’s just me but I suggest Snyder takes some inspiration from anything else – Free Antivirus Downloads , for example, or even an old episode of Neighbours, maybe – and changes direction. Before this train completely derails and kills anyone within a ten mile radius.

I know everyone will deny it, but I can’t help suspecting that this latest UN and NATO involvement in the escalating crisis in Libya is another war for oil. The western world has already trapped itself in one messy Middle East crisis in Iraq trying to retain control over oilfields and it does seem that governments have again been motivated by greed when it comes to the decision to support the rebels against the unpredictable Colonel Gaddafi. He is hardly been the most stable guy to do business with in the last few years; kind of like getting free antivirus downloads from an ex-hacker! Will the rebels be any more reliable if they triumph?
The thing that really bugs me about our involvement in conflicts of this nature is the way that western governments pick and choose which countries and causes they will support based on what those countries and causes can give in return. Do you think there’s a chance the rest of the world would have even batted an eyelid if Libya had no oil? Zimbabwe and Rwanda were in the grip of devastating civil wars for months, if not years, when dominant government forces were slowly forcing their own citizens out of their homes, stripping them of their rights and in Rwanda massacring them in their thousands. Why did no UK or US forces show up there to help out the rebel groups? Was it because they didn’t want to involve themselves in a messy internal conflict or was it because there was no oil that made a messy internal conflict worth fighting?
